Stark Update – 30 March 2019

Psalm 107 repeats four times these words: “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”
Denis, our technician for NLR and preacher on NLR sent the following clips:

Praise the Lord dear brother Denis! How is life? Brother, problems are like a washing machine. They twist, they spin, and knock us around, but at the end we come out cleaner, brighter and better than before.  When I started listening 2u’r evening prog, my life changed. Later I had no option but to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I wish u a good year full of love, joy, health, happiness, success and blessings.

The Lord is amazingly blessing the radio ministry. This old man from Kakumiro District, Mr. Sekitoleko Saul got born again recently. He tells how he had been listening to New Life Radio for quite some time. The Lord touched him as I preached, and he got born again. He is 67 years old.

Veronica from Kagadi District also got saved sometime back on New Life Radio. She is so much concerned about having a church of the same faith like how we preach on the radio. She tells me that, we should count her as a member of New Life Radio Church. She asks me when we will open up a church in her place. She is just ready to join.
Barongo Ibrahim from Masindi, a Muslim man, calls me every day after my preaching to be helped to understand the Bible. He wants to change his faith but scared, as a prominent man, people will judge him differently. Pray for him so that we can reach a mutual understanding.

Santo Obeyo (man on the far left) is a former carpenter from Uganda and now a missionary to DR of Congo. He wrote: “Last month we opened a new church in a place called AGYERO JUPUMVUGA. Last week we went there for three days for evangelism, open air preaching and showing the Jesus film. Twenty people got saved. Pray for us.”

Praise for progress being made in Rwanda through the help of believers in the USA.

  • Land with a building already on it was purchased for Maranatha BC in Kibuye.
  • Support has been provided, and Jean Claude has found a house in Kibuye for him and his family.
  • The building permit has been given, and leveling of land has been started in Kigali.
  • Materials have been purchased, and construction of Ebenezer BC has begun in Cyangugu.

Pray for the following:

  • Jackson, an ordained preacher, has moved to Kibungo and is looking for a job.
  • Funds for land and a building along with a church planter are still needed in Gitarama, Gikongoro, Byumba, and Gisenyi.
  • We are ready to build but waiting for the building permit for Victory Baptist Church in Ruhengiri.

This past week four listeners to Sadock’s radio program in the country of Burundi received Christ.  Now there are 15 of them waiting for someone to come and minister to them in person.  Thank you for your prayers and financial support.  God is blessing.
