Stark Update from Kigali, Rwanda – 13 January 2019

Dear Friends and Family

Thank you for your prayers as I am having a very prosperous journey.  I am getting ready to leave for three more targeted cities today and tomorrow.  I have already visited five.  Let me take time and tell you about yesterday.  We traveled early in the morning to Nyagatare to meet with the believers in their new building.  When we arrived at the gate they were waiting for us and singing.  I wish you could have been there to see and hear.  We got out and I was given the key to the building and officially opened it for everyone to go in.  We had some special singing and then went back out a different door to the baptistery and baptized 36 adults.  Many of them were old people but they all had the joy of the Lord.  After baptizing we went back in for the service.  There was standing room only.  They had 60 chairs but people brought benches from their homes and there were over 200 people there.  I was going to preach to a new church  but I realized many were visitors and probably not saved.  I put aside my notes and just let the Holy Spirit have free reign.  I preached about Jesus and His first coming and His second coming and they better be ready.  Sadock gave the invitation and when I looked up people were kneeling across the front two and three deep.  The pastor got names and locations for all and will visit them in their homes.  After the offering and singing they fed everyone that came.  I figure they must be Baptists.  As we went to Sadock’s vehicle we found the heat had cause a tire to explode.  Someone had stolen the key to unlock the tire so we had to hire a vehicle to take us back to Kigali.  He went there this morning to repair and bring so we can travel again today.  I will try to add some photos.  Keep praying as there is still much to do in Kigali and then go on to Uganda.
